About the position

The Data Architect at Interclypse is responsible for designing and implementing data architecture that aligns with the business practices of various Maryland state agencies. This role emphasizes collaboration, data governance, and the optimization of data management solutions to ensure the integrity and quality of data. The position is integral to the modernization and sustainment of critical systems, providing opportunities for professional growth within a supportive and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data architecture.
• Define and enforce data architecture standards, principles, and best practices.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to understand data usage requirements and objectives.
• Identify and evaluate data management solutions and technologies.
• Implement data governance policies and procedures to promote data quality, integrity, security, and compliance.
• Evaluate, improve, and optimize current systems.
• Create and update documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in data architecture.
• Experience as a data architect or similar role with a strong understanding of data architecture principles and practices.
• Proficient in data modeling tools and knowledgeable of relational, non-relational, and graph databases, along with data management platforms.
