About the position

The Senior Data Architect at Impyrian is a key contract contributor responsible for overseeing the successful inventory and cataloging of Enterprise level data for Federal Clients. This role involves creating and maintaining a Data Inventory, establishing processes for data asset management, and providing comprehensive support for data inventory initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a Data Inventory for stakeholders.
  • Establish a defined process for collecting and maintaining data assets.
  • Maintain and update the current data inventory and dashboard.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement to identify new datasets and updates to existing data assets.
  • Investigate, analyze, and populate a data inventory focused on descriptive data elements.
  • Document metadata associated with data elements in the inventory.
  • Analyze data inventory results to identify duplicative data and metadata inconsistencies.
  • Perform data enrichment and normalization activities.
  • Solicit and obtain necessary data tagging attributes to support zero trust operations.
  • Establish a roadmap for technology needed to gather data privilege settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT field with Federal Clients.
  • Strong background in database administration and architecture.
  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, and Cloud Migration.
  • Proficiency in Agile Methodologies and Knowledge Management Systems.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, JavaScript, Vue.js, Node.js, REST, MongoDB, AWS DocumentDB, ArangoDB, ANSI X12, EDIFACT, CATAIR, CAMIR, .NET, DB2, Oracle, MS SQL Server, SSDS, and SSRS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or MBA.
  • Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or other relevant certifications.
