About the position

The Data Architect position at Parcelshield Holdings LLC is responsible for collaborating with business stakeholders to analyze and enhance the company's data infrastructure. This role involves planning future databases and implementing solutions for effective data storage and management. The Data Architect will leverage computer science and design skills to address business challenges and ensure the security and integrity of data systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to review and analyze the data infrastructure.
• Plan future databases and implement solutions for data storage and management.
• Define, integrate, and upgrade comprehensive architecture to support applications, platforms, and databases.
• Maintain databases by determining structural requirements and developing solutions.
• Analyze information requirements and direct the development of physical databases.
• Ensure adherence to best practices for technological systems and data safeguarding.
• Research and evaluate industry best practices and innovations in data architecture.
• Design business analysis and data recording systems for departmental use.
• Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes.
• Create business reports that provide insights into key data points.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in design or computer-related programs.
• 5+ years of experience in data architecture, design, and relevant analytical roles.
• Strong working experience with SQL and SQL Server.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or other relevant Cloud platform technology.
• Experience with data modeling (OLTP & OLAP) and data formats including Avro, Parquet, etc.
• Experience building data pipelines leveraging Spark (Azure Databricks or Apache Spark), Airflow.
• Experience with Azure Data services (ADLS, ADF, Event Hub, Azure functions).
• Experience with Big Data Platforms, Data Warehousing, Data Lake, Data Mart, DataMesh/Data Hub concepts.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Report Development and architecting data for AI optimization.
• Ability to effectively summarize and communicate results from analysis to stakeholders with varying technical skills and backgrounds.
• Advanced critical thinking and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
