About The Position

The Data Architect at Community Behavioral Health (CBH) plays a pivotal role in shaping the data architecture within the IT division, reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). This position is essential for the design, creation, and management of data architecture frameworks that support the organization's operational and analytical needs. The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of healthcare data standards, particularly X12 for claims processing and member eligibility, as well as FHIR/HL7 interoperability data. The Data Architect will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive data architecture strategies that align with CBH's business and technology objectives, ensuring that all data systems are efficient, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations. In this role, the Data Architect will lead the design and implementation of modern data architectures, collaborating closely with Data Analytics, Business Analysts, IT teams, Project Managers, and business stakeholders. This collaboration will involve defining data requirements, designing solutions, and implementing data strategies that meet the needs of the organization. The Data Architect will also organize and lead workshops and design sessions to capture requirements and align on data architecture strategies and projects. Establishing data governance policies and practices, including data security, quality, and lifecycle management, will be a critical function of this role. The Data Architect will stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending innovations and improvements to enhance CBH's data capabilities. This position requires a strong foundation in data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration techniques, as well as proficiency in SQL and database design. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing data-related projects, including data migrations and system upgrades, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining high levels of member confidentiality.
