About the position

The Data Architect position at ICF is a critical role within the Health Modernization Solutions (HMS) team, responsible for developing sustainable enterprise data governance frameworks and strategies. The architect will work closely with customers to design and implement modern IT enterprise architecture, ensuring effective data governance and compliance with federal and industry standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in data architecture, database design, and a strong understanding of data privacy laws, all while collaborating with Agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sustainable enterprise data governance frameworks and strategies.
  • Design and develop relational databases using stored procedures.
  • Work with distributed search engines, such as ElasticSearch.
  • Design architecture solutions for various data use cases on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Understand and apply data modeling, data integration, and metadata management principles.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and data privacy laws for PII and PHI.
  • Implement and modify CI/CD pipelines.
  • Validate output report files, both manual and automated.
  • Report validation results and interact closely with development and business teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3 years' experience in data analytics.
  • 3 years' experience with SQL, Python, or statistical software such as SAS, Stata, or R.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must reside in the U.S. and be authorized to work in the U.S.
