About the position

The Data Architect position at BCforward involves designing and managing data structures to ensure efficient data retrieval, storage, and analysis. The role requires expertise in data architecture principles, data lineage, and the ability to create and optimize data models. The Data Architect will also be responsible for developing taxonomies, metadata schemas, and data flow diagrams, while ensuring compliance with data governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensures data is structured for accurate and efficient retrieval, storage, and analysis.
• Creates and optimizes data models for integration, reporting, and analytics.
• Develops and maintains taxonomies, metadata schemas, and data flow diagrams.
• Provides a clear framework for managing and accessing data consistently and easily.
• Knowledge of data governance, including quality management, stewardship, and compliance.
• Enables effective design, implementation, and management of data structures using appropriate tools.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Data Architecture Principles.
• Experience with Data Lineage.
• Proficiency in Databricks.

• Good to have Databricks database knowledge
• Good to have Data Engineering skills set.
