About the position

As a Data Architect at Capgemini, you will play a crucial role in translating business strategies into technology visions and blueprints. This position involves close collaboration with business, architecture, and development leaders to identify and mitigate technical risks while ensuring that data management solutions align with business objectives. The role requires a strong background in data engineering, particularly with Snowflake, AWS data services, SQL, and No-SQL databases, and a deep understanding of the property and casualty insurance sector.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business, Architecture, and Development leaders to translate business strategy into technology vision and blueprints.
  • Identify and resolve technical risks using Agile spikes and Proof of Concept activities.
  • Work with development teams to transition designs into code solutions.
  • Engage in all phases of the data management lifecycle, including gathering requirements and processing data.
  • Develop and maintain technical systems for data reporting and solutions using emerging technologies.
  • Lead the design, build, and management of data pipelines, including data transformation and quality management.
  • Review and provide feedback on data models and design considerations.
  • Document findings on technology product evaluations and educate teams on technology options.
  • Mentor and coach experienced engineers, providing feedback to leadership.
  • Ensure effective identification, measurement, monitoring, and control of risks associated with business activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role.
  • Strong expertise in Snowflake, AWS data services, SQL, and No-SQL databases.
  • Deep understanding of property and casualty insurance.
  • Experience with large scale distributed processing systems.
  • Ability to mentor and coach engineering teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in data management.
  • Knowledge of compliance alignment and information governance.
