About the position

The Data Architect position at Aloden Inc. in Charlotte, NC, is a contract role focused on designing and implementing data architecture solutions. The role requires a strong understanding of data modeling, data quality analysis, and data analytics architecture. The Data Architect will collaborate with enterprise and solution architects, as well as business and product teams, to create strategies, design data models, and ensure adherence to best practices in data management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design discussions and create conceptual and logical data models.
• Manage and maintain data models and define reporting strategies.
• Perform data quality analysis, identify issues, and propose solutions.
• Guide product teams in creating physical data model designs and data dictionaries.
• Review design adherence to standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Consult and guide product teams through design and implementation processes.
• Create information architecture roadmaps with current, near, and future views.
• Facilitate discussions to understand data sources and establish systems of record.

Requirements

• 7+ years of data modeling experience with expertise in relational and/or dimensional analysis.
• 5+ years of experience in data warehouse database design.
• Deep understanding of data modeling principles and architecture concepts.
• Extensive experience designing databases that support complex business processes.
• Experience with database technologies such as Oracle, DB2, Teradata, Hadoop, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and GCP Big Query.

Nice-to-haves

• Good collaborative and communication skills.
• Experience with data modeling in enterprise tools such as Power Designer or ERWIN.
• Experience with Salesforce and ServiceNow.
