About the position

The Data Architect role at IT Data Solutions involves designing and implementing comprehensive data architectures that align with the organization's business goals. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders and development teams to gather and prioritize requirements, manage SQL pools, and ensure data governance and security. The role is focused on optimizing data flow and maintaining high-performance databases in a cloud environment, specifically using Microsoft Azure technologies.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders and development teams to determine project scope and gather requirements.
• Design and implement comprehensive data architectures using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL.
• Manage and optimize Dedicated SQL Pools for large-scale data warehousing and analytics workloads.
• Design, implement, and manage databases ensuring high performance, availability, and security.
• Develop and manage ETL processes using Synapse Pipelines for efficient data flow.
• Implement data governance practices and manage the data catalog for quality and accessibility.
• Create and maintain scalable data models optimized for performance.
• Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with legal standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Synapse Analytics and Dedicated SQL Pools.
• 5+ years of experience in DDL, DML T-SQL skills, and advanced stored procedure writing.
• 4+ years of experience in data architecture design principles and best practices.
• 3+ years of experience in data governance principles and compliance requirements.
• 3+ years of experience in integrating data from various sources and managing large data pipelines.
• 2+ years of experience in cloud computing concepts, particularly in Microsoft Azure.
• 1+ years of experience with programming languages such as Python or Scala.
• 1+ years of experience in Salesforce, Message MQ, and MuleSoft.
