  • Analyze requirements, effect solution design, drive development, and oversee production deployment in large enterprise setting.
  • Provide technical leadership on the implementation, support, and management of enterprise data, simplifying data access, eliminating redundancies, and integrating disparate data structures into coherent enterprise data models.
  • Identify strategic data/workflow gaps and advocate for new technologies and techniques.
  • Lead and manage a Scrum team, organizing and prioritizing project deliverables, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.
  • Architect and implement data governance and security measures to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven opportunities and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Perform data analysis, profiling, and validation to ensure accuracy and quality of data.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data architecture, data engineering, and data management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years professional experience working as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role for Financial Services firm(s) (buy-side preferably).
  • Strong technical proficiency in Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, SQL, and other relevant data tools and technologies.
  • Proficiency in relational and dimensional modeling techniques and experience working with finance professionals in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, with experience leading and managing Scrum teams following Agile methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of fixed income and asset management principles and processes, including experience designing data solutions for a financial organization across various asset classes.
  • Mastery of both legacy and modern tools/platforms, such as SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Server.

  • Experience with large-scale data solutions and migration projects; BlackRock Aladdin experience is highly desirable.
  • Data warehouse implementation experience for a buy-side investment firm.
  • Experience integrating external data providers.
