About the position

The Data Architect plays a crucial role in developing and integrating optimization efforts to advance the implementation of IoT infrastructure technologies and proactive maintenance capabilities. This position is responsible for overseeing the technical approach and roadmap to align with customer needs and business strategies, including designing data infrastructure strategies, data management frameworks, data security, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Assists stakeholders in developing and maintaining the overall data architecture strategy and roadmap.
  • Performs technical oversight, quality assurance, identifies and manages risks, issues, and gaps in solution architecture and delivery.
  • Designs and implements data models, data integration processes, and data storage solutions.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Assists in defining and enforcing data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Evaluates and selects appropriate data management tools, technologies, and techniques to support the organization's data architecture.
  • Leads the design and implementation of data warehouses, data marts, and other data repositories.
  • Develops and maintains data standards, data dictionaries, and data lineage documentation.
  • Collaborates with developers and database administrators to optimize data access and performance.
  • Conducts data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and recommend solutions.
  • Stays up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data architecture and data management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Computer Programming, or related field from an accredited educational institution.
  • Minimum of 6 years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Certification at the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II level, including CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, SSCP.
  • Preference for DoD or Federal Government industry experience.
