About the position

CACI is seeking a Data Architect to support the Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology (IT) (BEAGLE) contract. This role involves building modern, cloud-native applications in a SecDevOps environment, focusing on continuous integration and deployment within an agile framework. The Data Architect will provide architectural guidance, technical innovation, and analytical expertise to enhance national security and support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the future of data usage to enhance national security.
  • Provide high-level architectural guidance and technical innovation to teams across CBP.
  • Champion data architecture, analytic methodology, and visualization functions.
  • Serve as a data and technology expert across mission-critical applications.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum sprint planning and solution releases.
  • Analyze project-related problems and create innovative technology solutions.
  • Deliver deployable software in short sprints.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering, data science, and data analysis.
  • 5-10+ years of experience with databases, including design and optimization.
  • Experience in data modeling, warehousing, and integration.
  • Expertise in DBMS platforms like PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong SQL skills for data management and analysis.
  • Experience with distributed data eventing and message streaming solutions.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for data protection.
  • Experience with cloud-based database services like AWS RDS and Google Cloud SQL.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with graph databases like Neo4J.
  • Experience with geospatial data management.
  • Experience with data governance platforms like Collibra.
  • Experience in CI/CD and DevOps processes.
  • Previous experience as an Enterprise-level Data Architect or Data Engineer.
