About the position

The Data Architect at Birlasoft is responsible for designing and optimizing data architectures and pipelines to enhance business processes. This role requires a strong background in data management and engineering, focusing on both structured and unstructured data. The position is integral to helping clients leverage data for improved decision-making and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize data architectures and pipelines.
• Build and maintain data models and database designs.
• Integrate data from various sources into cohesive datasets.
• Ensure data quality and integrity across systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or data management.
• Strong experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
• Proven experience in data modelling, database design, and data integration.
• Experience with both structured (SQL) and unstructured (NoSQL, Hadoop) data management.
• Proficiency with ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica) and data pipeline orchestration frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, AWS Glue).
• Strong SQL and Python programming skills.
• Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
