About The Position
The Data Architect will play a crucial role in building Primerica's enterprise data strategy, with a strong focus on data modernization efforts, including the migration of data to the cloud. This position involves providing guidance and education to data engineering development teams on effective data strategies, data pipelines, data movement, and access. As a subject matter expert, the Data Architect will be responsible for data modeling, data planning, data transformation strategies, and ensuring data quality across the organization. The role is designed for a highly experienced individual who can work independently or with minimal guidance in complex situations, and who can lead projects and mentor peers effectively. In this position, the Data Architect will collaborate with business and product owners to drive business requirements and recommend best practices related to enterprise data solutions. They will act as a technical lead for various projects, ensuring successful system implementation and problem resolution. The Data Architect will also provide consultative and technical direction for data solutions, participate in multiple complex system projects, and manage large projects to completion. They will be responsible for implementing new tools and methods while ensuring secure data access techniques are in place. Additionally, the Data Architect will evaluate data model changes, work with requestors to meet Primerica's data governance standards, and continuously improve and document the company's data standards and best practices. Staying abreast of emerging technologies in enterprise data architectures will also be a key responsibility of this role.
