About the position

The Data Architect is responsible for leading the design and support of enterprise-wide business intelligence applications and architecture. This role involves collaborating with senior management from both business and IT sectors to understand and prioritize information requirements effectively. The Data Architect will tackle complex technical problems and optimize the performance of enterprise business intelligence tools by defining filters and indexes that enhance user value. Additionally, the position requires the creation of testing methodologies and criteria to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of the business intelligence systems. In this role, the Data Architect will also design and coordinate a curriculum aimed at coaching and training customers in the use of business intelligence tools, thereby enhancing their decision-making capabilities. The development of standards, policies, and procedures regarding the form, structure, and attributes of business intelligence tools and systems is a critical aspect of this position. Furthermore, the Data Architect will be responsible for developing information quality metrics and researching new technologies to create business cases that support enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and support of enterprise-wide business intelligence applications and architecture.
  • Collaborate with senior management to understand and prioritize information requirements.
  • Solve complex technical problems related to business intelligence tools.
  • Optimize the performance of enterprise business intelligence tools by defining filters and indexes.
  • Create testing methodologies and criteria for business intelligence systems.
  • Design and coordinate training curricula for customers on business intelligence tools.
  • Develop standards, policies, and procedures for business intelligence tools and systems.
  • Develop information quality metrics to assess the effectiveness of business intelligence solutions.
  • Research new technologies and develop business cases for enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions.

Requirements

  • Formal working knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in a specialized field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive hands-on experience in information technology.
  • Experience in analysis, report writing, and ETL development.
  • Proficient in relational database development.
  • Experience with Healthcare Business Objects and Cerner Power Insight is preferred.
  • SQL experience is preferred.
