About the position

The Data Architecture Sr Lead Analyst at Citi is a strategic role focused on leading and implementing complex cloud-based data architectures, particularly utilizing AWS and Snowflake. This position requires a deep understanding of data engineering, risk management data structures, and data governance processes. The analyst will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with Citi's data standards and will be responsible for significant business outcomes through effective resource management and technical strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and solution AWS, Snowflake data engineering team & designs.
• Design, develop, and implement complex cloud-based data architectures.
• Provide technical view and expertise on Snowflake data warehouse and data lake capabilities.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Lead the definition and ongoing management of target data architecture for risk information.
• Liaise with other Citi risk organizations to maintain alignment with Citi Data Standards.
• Work with information owners and technology partners to define and implement the roadmap.
• Establish a governance process to oversee implementation activities and ensure alignment to the defined architecture.
• Analyze current risk processes and systems to review current state risk management processes.
• Define a set of common information categories that encompass risk activities and identify supporting data attributes.
• Maintain data architecture and its ongoing alignment with Citi's Data Standards.
• Define and implement risk data roadmap and data alignment plan in cooperation with technology partners.
• Manage the implementation of the data alignment plan and overall migration to the target state architecture.
• Define and operate data governance process that oversees data architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Technical Lead or similar role in Data Engineering.
• Extensive experience with Snowflake Data Cloud, including data modeling and ELT using Snowflake SQL.
• Familiarity with Snowflake's architecture, data loading/unloading, and performance optimization techniques.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and data architecture principles.
• Proficiency in SQL and other data manipulation languages.
• Experience with data visualization tools and data integration platforms.
• 10+ years experience in analyzing and defining risk management data structures and architecture.
• Project Management experience.
