About the position

The Database Specialist at HonorHealth is responsible for entering and maintaining data in various master databases related to medical staff services. This role supports the Administrator of Medical Staff Services by assisting with special projects and performing clerical functions to ensure the smooth operation of the department. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks related to data entry and database maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain data in master databases such as Midas, MedCredentials, Meditech, and the website.
  • Assist the Administrator of Medical Staff Services with special medical staff projects, including the Annual Report and new physician orientation.
  • Perform clerical functions to support department staff and management.
  • Coordinate activities for the initial phase of Medical Staff and Allied Health applicants.
  • Receive and data enter information for various applications, following up on missing information.
  • Update and maintain complete biographical profiles for new physicians and existing medical staff in the databases.
  • Document meeting minutes within 72 hours and initiate follow-up within one week.
  • Generate reports and labels for mailings and meetings as requested.
  • Maintain orderly physician files and provider rosters throughout the network.
  • Conduct searches and download information from the Internet for project work.
  • Maintain and update the Network Webpage Master for the hospital's website.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of general office or database experience required.
