About the position

The Data / Business Analyst role is focused on gathering and analyzing business requirements to support data-driven decision-making. The position involves extensive work with data warehousing, data profiling, validation, visualization, and mining to ensure data quality and provide actionable insights to stakeholders. This hybrid position requires candidates to work onsite three days a week in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements to understand data needs.
• Design and develop data models to support reporting and analytics.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into the data warehouse.
• Perform data profiling and validation to ensure data quality.
• Create visualizations and reports to communicate data insights to stakeholders.
• Use data mining techniques to uncover hidden patterns and trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst.
• Extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data warehouses.
• Proficiency in data profiling techniques to understand data quality, completeness, and consistency.
• Expertise in data validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Skilled in creating clear and compelling visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Experience in applying data mining techniques to uncover patterns, trends, and insights from large datasets.
• Expert-level SQL skills for querying, analyzing, and manipulating data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
