About the position

The Data Catalog Lead Business Analyst (VP) is a pivotal role focused on developing the firm's strategic data catalog to meet data governance requirements across various stakeholders. This position involves overseeing a team of technical data engineers responsible for data architecture and flow implementation, ensuring that all deliveries meet quality standards and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a business analytic team supporting one large system, including work allocation, budget and planning, performance evaluation, and staffing.
• Provide direction and technical leadership on complex, high-impact projects throughout all phases of development and implementation.
• Make evaluative judgments based on analysis of information in complicated situations and contribute to the formulation of standards and strategies.
• Resolve issues impacting beyond own area and apply in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve objectives and negotiate with internal and external parties.
• Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and exercise independence of judgment.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and team members.
• Manage teams effectively and assess risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience
• Data modeling experience
• Knowledge of Data Governance preferred
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to partner and influence across organizational lines
• Ability to use complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques
