About the position

The Data Center Analyst position at BCforward involves managing and monitoring data center operations, ensuring the health and security of the data center environment, and coordinating with infrastructure teams and vendors. The role requires proficiency in daily batch scheduling and effective communication during daily briefings to address operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Become proficient with data center operations including room layouts, power systems, and fire detection systems.
• Conduct proactive walkthroughs and routine physical inspections of data center rooms and generators.
• Perform daily data center health checks and manage infrastructure issues in coordination with teams and vendors.
• Maintain daily batch scheduling using Control-M and coordinate exceptions and critical activities outside of normal processes.
• Participate in daily briefing calls, documenting information accurately and understanding the impact of discussed issues on the business.

Requirements

• Experience with Control-M for batch scheduling and monitoring.
• Knowledge of data center operations, including power systems and physical security protocols.
• Ability to perform routine inspections and health checks of data center infrastructure.
• Strong communication skills for participating in daily briefings and documenting information.

Nice-to-haves
