About the position

As a Data Center Architect, Technical Staff, Engineering Technologist at Dell Technologies, you will be part of the Custom Design and Emerging Technology team, focusing on delivering innovative data center infrastructure solutions. This role involves collaborating with the CTO, sales teams, and high-profile AI customers to develop next-generation technologies in mechanical, cooling, network, and power systems. You will drive innovation in data center architecture, including liquid cooling technologies and modular data center solutions, while managing multiple programs and presenting to leadership and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop next generation data center infrastructure solutions.
  • Work closely with DELL CTO, sales teams, and customers.
  • Engage with high profile AI customers to optimize solutions for their applications.
  • Drive innovation at the data center level with new liquid cooling technologies and power.
  • Manage multiple programs and present to Dell leadership and external customers.
  • Develop end-to-end solutions from Compute to the Customer Data Center.
  • Optimize cost, energy efficiency, and performance from IT to the data center.
  • Design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems.
  • Drive the architecture of end-to-end solutions from server to data center, including air and liquid cooled servers.
  • Demonstrate engineering rigor and leadership across various disciplines, including mechanical, power, controls, and thermals.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in data center power distribution and thermal technologies.
  • Experience solving complex thermal/power problems at the data center level.
  • Ability to transition from customer problem statement to concept and implementation of complex data center solutions.
  • Customer-facing experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deep knowledge of hardware and software interactions to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Innovate power-centric solutions for increasingly dense IT environments.
