About the position

The Data Center Break/Fix Technician at Maintech, Incorporated is responsible for ensuring the integrity and reliability of data center operations. This role involves maintaining network equipment, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support seamless operations within the data center.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment and cabling within the data center
• Perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve network connectivity issues
• Conduct routine audits of data center equipment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data center operations
• Assist with hardware installations and replacements
• Execute fiber splicing and terminations as needed

Requirements

• Experience on the administrative and/or parts management
• Proficiency in computer networking and electrical systems
• Experience with VoIP systems and network installation
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics
• Knowledge of Juniper and Avaya network equipment
• Field service experience is a plus
• Ability to work with computer hardware components
