About the position

TEKsystems is seeking Cable Technicians in Temple, TX for a new site under construction. The role involves performing installations for low voltage infrastructure and server rack setup, providing opportunities for long-term growth with a reputable company in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches receptacles and other devices.
• Build closets by mounting and installing backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware.
• Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
• Complete all IDC connections, including terminating 110/66 blocks and patch panels.
• Pull wire and oversee and direct conduit installations and wire pulling.
• Operate tools and equipment, normally requiring the use of two hands, such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers.

Requirements

• Experience in low voltage cabling and infrastructure installation.
• Ability to work in a live construction site environment.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in cabling installations.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience with server rack setup.
• Knowledge of fiber optic installations.
