As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Center Day Porter to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights. The Data Center Cleaning Technician works within the cleaning division to perform preventive and general cleaning in data center environments. Technicians are trained to work on several fronts and are responsible for cleaning and maintaining all types of data center surfaces, including equipment, cable ducts, ceilings, walls, floors, and subfloors, depending on Client Scope of Work expectations. Technicians are experienced in using proper cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment to properly care for all sensitive surfaces in our customers' data centers. Primary duties include annual or quarterly data hall subfloor/surface/crevice cleaning using approved equipment, attachments, and methodologies. They will scrub floor tile surfaces, damp mop floors, wipe down walls and horizontal surfaces, clean surfaces up to 12 feet, including conduits and other fixtures, and clean overhead cable trays. Additional responsibilities include wiping down exteriors of electrical and mechanical equipment, spot cleaning equipment and fixtures, performing cosmetic cleaning tasks per client SOW, conducting particulate testing, and managing trash and recyclable disposal. General janitorial functions may also include spill cleanup, common area cleaning and sanitization, office area dusting, or floor seal/wax.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and general cleaning in data center environments.
  • Clean and maintain all types of data center surfaces including equipment, cable ducts, ceilings, walls, floors, and subfloors.
  • Conduct annual or quarterly data hall subfloor/surface/crevice cleaning using approved equipment and methodologies.
  • Scrub floor tile surfaces to client expectations.
  • Damp mop floors to client expectations.
  • Wipe down walls and horizontal surfaces using approved equipment and methodologies.
  • Clean surfaces up to 12 feet, including conduits and other fixtures.
  • Clean overhead cable trays using approved equipment and methodologies.
  • Wipe down exteriors of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Spot clean equipment and fixtures as needed.
  • Perform cosmetic cleaning tasks per client SOW.
  • Conduct particulate testing and manage trash and recyclable disposal.
  • Perform general janitorial functions including spill cleanup, common area cleaning, and office area dusting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform general custodial/cleaning practices and methodologies.
  • Safe usage of hand tools and small power tools.
  • Ability to use mobile application technology.
  • Neat and orderly work habits.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic knowledge of custodial and cleaning practices.
