About the position

The position involves managing the design, planning, maintenance, and operational integrity of critical infrastructure systems in high-risk environments, specifically data centers. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency through the development and implementation of standards and practices, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Additionally, it includes providing technical expertise and oversight to the facilities team, as well as managing emergency responses and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the design, planning, maintenance, and operational integrity of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure systems in data centers.
  • Develop and implement standards and practices to improve operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate proactive monitoring and maintenance of facilities systems to ensure maximum operational efficiency and uptime.
  • Plan, budget, and schedule repairs and modifications to critical facilities.
  • Provide technical expertise, tasking, training, and oversight to facilities team members.
  • Coordinate response to emergency situations that may impact operations.
  • Monitor the execution of facility policies and practices to ensure compliance with organizational and governmental operation and safety standards.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing infrastructure systems in mission-critical environments such as data centers.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement operational standards and practices.
  • Experience in budgeting and scheduling maintenance and repairs.
  • Technical expertise in facilities management and emergency response coordination.
