About the position

The design and drafting engineer plays a crucial role in the Technical Facilities Group, focusing on documentation, organization, system design, and communication. This position is responsible for managing technical system build databases and diagram archives, ensuring efficient execution of facility builds and troubleshooting through collaboration with various teams. The role encourages innovative ideas to enhance workflows and departmental design approaches.

Responsibilities

• Information gathering for design builds
• Design document generation (CAD, Visio, Microsoft Office, large scale prints)
• Digital file organization and archiving (includes cloud based repositories)
• Troubleshooting and archive retrieval
• Distributing information to collaborating teams
• Familiarization of company structure and protocols and training

Requirements

• Performs comfortably within Windows OS (Windows 10) environment
• Is familiar with AutoCAD / BricsCAD, Microsoft Visio / Lucidchart, Microsoft Office Suite
• 3+ years of work experience in broadcast or datacenter environment including integration experience
• Education minimum: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Knowledge of on-air production environment systems and protocols
• Technical and cabling system design and documentation experience
