About the position

Meta is seeking an experienced Data Center Energy Regulatory Analyst to support the tracking, analysis, and engagement in electric utility regulatory proceedings. This role is crucial for Meta's energy team, focusing on regulatory dockets and utility stakeholder processes related to energy rates, reliability, and access to renewable energy. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent policy positions and support Meta's sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

  • Review, track, analyze, and summarize utility regulatory proceedings including general rate cases and new tariff proposals.
  • Support the development of Meta's external engagement strategies, including participation in trade organizations.
  • Lead the initial review of regulatory proposals and evaluate their potential impacts on Meta's operations and sustainability goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal partners including energy managers and legal teams.
  • Implement processes to optimize regulatory docket identification, tracking, and reporting.
  • Lead communication and deliverables between internal stakeholders and consultants.
  • Support the execution of overarching and site-specific energy infrastructure strategies for Meta's data centers.
  • Participate in various ad-hoc energy initiatives for Meta and its energy program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of work experience with an electric utility, state regulatory commission, or related field.
  • Experience with utility regulatory proceedings and processes.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting utility proposals, including rate changes and resource planning dockets.
  • Proven communication, organizational, and program management skills.
  • Experience in building cross-functional relationships.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and G-Suite (Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets).
