About the position

The Data Center Development team at TikTok is responsible for building and managing Internet Data Centers and Network infrastructure in the AMS region. The role focuses on innovation, advanced technology implementation, and achieving carbon neutrality while ensuring rapid project delivery and effective capacity planning. The team aims to provide reliable and efficient Data Center infrastructure services to support TikTok's business operations.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage standards, processes, Change Management, and Life Cycle replacement for Environment monitoring devices, UPS, and PDUs.
• Serve as a subject matter expert while collaborating with partner teams and vendors to install, troubleshoot, repair, and manage the lifecycle of Environment Monitoring devices, PDU, UPS, and other hardware within the data center environment.
• Study and follow relevant technologies.
• Maintain positive and collaborative working relations with partner teams, vendors, teammates, and internal customers.

Requirements

• Datacenter related experience, including knowledge of network design and layout (copper/fiber) as well as low/high voltage cabling, BMS Systems, EPMS, access control, monitoring and alarming systems.
• Design experience in researching, developing, and writing equipment and design layouts/specifications of server rooms, MDFs, IDFs, rackable equipment, and other modular or containerized IT infrastructure solutions.
• Electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience such as generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, UPS, electrical sub-distribution systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
• 5 years of experience in relevant areas.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to clarity and detail.
• Ability to prioritize work and stay organized in a complex, fast-paced environment with high levels of ambiguity.
• Vendor engagement experience.
• Project/Program management experience.
