About the position

The Data Center Engineer (Infrastructure Cloud) Level 4 position at Spyros Information & Technology Consulting, LLC involves engineering responsibilities for both physical and virtual infrastructure within a secure environment. The role requires expertise in various operating systems and engineering disciplines, including storage, network, and cloud engineering, with a focus on classified government clouds. The position demands a high level of security clearance and extensive experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure solutions for physical and virtual environments.
• Manage and optimize enterprise storage solutions, including HPE Storage Area Networks (SAN).
• Configure and maintain Cisco network infrastructure for LAN/WAN and Software Defined Networking (SDN).
• Utilize VMware vCloud Enterprise Suite for hybrid cloud solutions involving classified government clouds.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and maintain active Top Secret clearance.

Requirements

• 8 to 10 years of experience with a BS/BA degree, or 6 to 8 years with an MS/MA, or 3 to 5 years with a PhD.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
• Experience in Infrastructure/Datacenter engineering for various operating systems (Windows, Linux, Solaris, UNIX, AIX).

Nice-to-haves

• Professional-level certifications in Linux, VMware, Network, Storage, or Cloud.
• ITIL Foundations certification.
