About the position

The Data Center Engineer (Infrastructure/Cloud) at Abile Group is responsible for supporting a DoD Customer's Classified Network Services. This role encompasses operations, compliance, cyber security, customer service, and engineering, focusing on designing and optimizing virtual infrastructure services to enhance security, availability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Designs, delivers, and optimizes Virtual Infrastructure Services to improve security, availability, performance, and resource utilization.
• Reviews current virtual infrastructures, architectures, designs, and operations to identify potential improvements.
• Analyzes, refines, and documents the requirements for transition from legacy architectures into modern virtualized infrastructure environment.
• Designs virtual Infrastructure services to maximize available capacity of physical compute, storage, and network hardware resources.
• Documents security, configuration, and performance benchmarks of Virtual Infrastructure Services.

Requirements

• 8 to 10 years of experience with a BS/BA degree, 6 to 8 years with an MS/MA degree, or 3 to 5 years with a PhD.
• TS/SCI clearance required.
• DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e. Security+) required.
• Experience in Infrastructure/Datacenter engineering for both physical and virtual infrastructure hosting one or more Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, Solaris, UNIX, and/or AIX systems.
• Experience in Storage Engineering with multiple enterprise HPE Storage Area Networks (SAN).
• Experience in Network Engineering with Cisco network LAN/WAN and Software Defined Networking (SDN).
• Experience in Infrastructure/Cloud Engineering with VMware vCloud Enterprise Suite and hybrid cloud with multiple classified Government clouds.
