About the position

The Senior Datacenter Engineer will work in secure environments to build, deploy, and support mission-critical networks. This role requires a TS/SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph (CIP) and involves collaborating with a team to create and maintain secure computing environments that utilize various operating systems and virtualization technologies. The engineer will ensure compliance with NISPOM and ICD guidelines and assist in the accreditation process of systems.

Responsibilities

  • Build, deploy, and support mission essential networks in secure environments.
  • Secure compliance with NISPOM and ICD guidelines.
  • Assist in the creation and management of System Security Plans (SSP).
  • Develop and maintain Plan of Action and Milestone (PO&AM) documentation.
  • Assist with the accreditation process of systems.
  • Perform network administration including installations, configurations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network functions.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph.
  • Experience with DIACAP, NISPOM, and ICD requirements.
  • Proficient in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting network functions in secure environments.
  • Experience with Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls, etc.
  • Adept with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, Windows Server 2016/2019, and Windows 10.
  • Experience with VMWare's vSphere virtualization suite.
  • Skilled in system patching and vulnerability remediation.
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows systems and their interaction in a network environment.
  • DoD 8570 Industry Certification in one or more of the following: CISSP, Security+, CISA, GSEC, CAP, SCNA, SCNP, SSCP, GSLC, GSE.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator.
  • Experience with Centralized Logging Products (e.g., Splunk).
  • Knowledge of COMSEC and encryption technologies.
  • Experience administering cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.).
  • Experience administering Jira.
