About the position

As a Data Center Engineer at GDIT, you will deliver tailored solutions to complex problems, focusing on the unique requirements of clients in the intelligence sector. Your role will involve ensuring the compatibility and efficiency of computer systems, maintaining hardware, and applying necessary security updates, all while prioritizing the end-user experience and contributing to your career growth.

Responsibilities

• Develops computer systems specifications that fit with the government's system architecture standards.
• Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensuring hardware and software systems compatibility.
• Coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.
• Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
• Responsible for installation and maintenance of storage, networking, and server hardware.
• Ensures availability of development systems to end users through continuous system monitoring and issue remediation.
• Applies required security updates and implementations mandated by DoD cyber security regulations.
• Oversees the efforts of less senior staff and/or is responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of related experience
• US Citizenship Required
