About the position

The Data Center Engineer will oversee the daily operations of the Data Center Services (DCS) group, focusing on the planning, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of server hardware and devices. This role requires a professional with extensive experience in managing data center infrastructure projects and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of the Data Center Services (DCS) group.
• Plan and execute customer server installations and cabling.
• Design structured cable plant systems for data centers.
• Troubleshoot server, network, and storage systems as needed.
• Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.
• Install racks, set up power, and manage Ethernet and fiber cabling.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing data center infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of HP and Cisco standalone servers, enclosures, and blades.
• Experience with data center space planning and server cabinet layout.
• Knowledge of structured cable design (fiber and copper).
• Familiarity with data center cabling standards, including fiber optics.
