About the position

DDN Storage is seeking motivated and passionate individuals to join their dynamic team in a swing shift position at their Data Center in Wheatridge, Colorado. This role focuses on deploying, configuring, and maintaining servers, network switches/routers, and storage solutions in a collaborative environment. The position is integral to ensuring stable data center operations and supporting the development and integration of new hardware platforms, all while contributing to the company's commitment to innovation and customer success in the AI and data storage sector.

Responsibilities

• Deploying, configuring, and maintaining servers, network switches/routers, and storage in data center racks.
• Collaborating with partner teams to retrofit, troubleshoot issues, and identify long-term solutions for stable data center operations.
• Scheduling and conducting maintenance, including upgrades, migrations, and managing production networks.
• Coordinating with IT teams to ensure a secure access environment within the data center.
• Supporting the development, testing, and integration of new and existing server/storage hardware platforms.
• Establishing and maintaining a resilient virtual infrastructure using VMWare, Hyper V, Kubernetes, and similar technologies, and managing networks using Cisco and/or Juniper network devices.
• Willingness to work outside normal work hours, including night shifts, on rotation or as needed.

Requirements

• 4+ years of related work experience responsible for deployment, configuration of Servers / Storage platforms in large Data Center environments.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Servers, Networks and Storage hardware platforms.
• Working knowledge of connectivity of Servers, Storage, network and Power supply, Battery Backup unit in large Data Center environments.
• Experience working in a multi-vendor environment with hands-on experience with server and storage hardware.
• Experience with loading OS images as well as various software applications (e.g. Backup).
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver against mission critical deadlines.
• Familiarity with the Windows, Linux and VMware, Hyper V and Kubernetes based systems.
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced global team environments and solve problems with limited supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced knowledge in network, compute, storage, and virtualization.
• Experience in rack and stack deployments, QA, DevOps, and engineering support.
• VMware VCP and project management skills.
• Some experience in public and/or private cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenStack).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Perl).
