About the position

The Data Center Facilities Technical Specialist at OhioHealth is responsible for providing operational support for server functions, storage infrastructure, and enterprise backup and recovery functions. This role involves maintaining system security, implementing LAN policies, and providing technical support across the organization. The position requires participation in an on-call rotation and emphasizes the importance of critical thinking and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Installs, configures, maintains, monitors and troubleshoots system level server software and systems.
• Establishes and implements LAN policies, procedures and standards.
• Provides technical support, training and consultation to other departments in the Information Systems.
• Maintains system security at the operating system level.
• Assists in developing and maintaining a disaster recovery plan for system software.
• Develops awareness in state of the art hardware and software technologies.
• Provides on-call support for server level problems.
• Performs routine administrative tasks such as status reports.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED (Required).
• Basic understanding of Power, UPS/generator, and Data Center concepts.
• Basic understanding of server, storage, and network systems.
