About the position

The Data Center Facility Technician is responsible for the operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance of HVAC equipment and electrical systems within Data Centers. This role involves resolving client and internal trouble tickets, monitoring network alarms, and ensuring the integrity of the data center infrastructure through preventative maintenance and documentation management.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor HVAC equipment and electrical systems in Data Centers.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Resolve colocation client and internal trouble tickets in a timely manner.
• Monitor and analyze network and infrastructure alarms, escalating issues as necessary.
• Conduct daily inspections of all Data Centre infrastructure equipment.
• Perform security and facilities rounds throughout the Data Center and property.
• Manage customer installation activities including cage builds and rack layouts.
• Maintain electrical drawing documentation and ensure compliance with corporate and manufacturer's recommendations.

Requirements

• 2-3 years' experience working with electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience in data center operations and facilities is preferred.
• Operational experience with Data Center equipment such as switchgear, generators, UPS, PDU, Chillers, RTU, CRAH/CRAC, Chilled Water systems, and VESDA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with Visio, AutoCAD, SAP, Maximo, CAFM, Siebel, and Adobe Acrobat Writer is advantageous.
• Strong team player with effective communication and excellent organizational skills.

Benefits

• Salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 per year plus bonus.
