About the position

The Data Center Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings. This role is crucial in ensuring that the facilities are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe and efficient environment for all users. The manager will develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, attending client meetings to understand their needs and expectations. They will coordinate, oversee, and manage repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors, and contractors, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. In addition to managing day-to-day operations, the Facility Manager will be responsible for conducting facilities inspections and preparing reports to document the condition of the facilities. They will also coordinate and manage moves, adds, and change activities, ensuring that all changes are implemented smoothly. The manager will obtain and review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for various projects, managing capital projects from inception to completion. This includes preparing capital project and operating budgets, as well as variance reports to track financial performance. The role also involves managing vendor relationships, training vendors on work order and billing procedures, and ensuring the accuracy of invoice processing and cost center coding. The Facility Manager will utilize technology, including PCs and PDAs, for work order systems, email, and training purposes. They will provide process and procedure training to staff and conduct financial and business analysis, preparing reports as necessary. Overall, this position requires a proactive approach to facilities management, with a focus on continuous improvement and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Requirements
