The Data Center Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and development of a team of Critical Environment engineers at the data center. This role ensures that the team provides both Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Repair Services to the client and their customers, adhering to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The manager will assist the client's Data Center Manager by providing support for data center operations and ensuring the provision and maintenance of Critical Environment services on-site. In this position, the manager will handle unforeseen circumstances that arise, providing relevant feedback to both the client and CBRE management as necessary. Mentoring and motivating the Critical Environment team is a key responsibility, with a focus on providing regular feedback to promote continuous improvement. The manager will identify training needs and ensure that all work orders, preventative maintenance tasks, and repairs are completed within the agreed SLA timeframe. If issues cannot be resolved promptly, escalation is required. The role also includes ensuring the completion of facility infrastructure equipment installations and information technology equipment power installations, relocations, and decommission requests, all within the agreed SLA timeframes and to applicable internal, manufacturer, and industry standards. Daily routine checks and cleanup of the data halls are expected, along with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting support for various systems such as chillers, Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), and more. The manager must ensure that all deployments are installed according to applicable standards and that documentation is kept up to date for all processes. Method Statements and Risk Assessments must be prepared and utilized for all tasks to ensure safe working practices at all times.
