About the position

The Data Center Hardware Engineering team is seeking an experienced electrical integration engineer to oversee projects from design conception to mass production. This role is highly cross-functional, requiring collaboration with various teams including mechanical, power, software, firmware, silicon design, hardware validation, and reliability engineering. The position focuses on the design, specification, and realization of high-performance compute solutions tailored to customer requirements, emphasizing electrical engineering implementation and validation of customized designs.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical engineering implementation, documentation, and validation of customized compute designs.
• Conduct electrical design, simulation, bringup, debug, and validation.
• Provide factory build support and collaborate across multiple disciplines.
• Develop functional specifications, procedures, and other documentation for complex system integration.

Requirements

• BS in electrical or computer engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, particularly in E&M physics and first principles.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
• Working knowledge of design and validation requirements for low-speed and high-speed digital interfaces such as I2C/SMBus, SPI, JTAG, USB, PCIe, Ethernet, and DDR Memory.
• Experience with PCB bringup and debug using standard EE lab equipment.

Nice-to-haves

• High-speed board design experience with 10+ layer PCBs.
• Experience in circuit design across various domains including power, digital, analog, and high-speed communications.
• Understanding of computer architecture and design tradeoffs.
• Schematic capture and constraint-driven PCB layout experience using Cadence tools or similar.
• Experience with designs utilizing new or custom silicon.
• Automation and data manipulation script development.
• Data analysis and visualization skills.
