Due to continued growth, we have opportunities for Service Technicians to repair and maintain Airedale equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all repair and maintenance work to Airedale and other manufacturers' refrigeration and air conditioning equipment to a high standard of accuracy
• Project Work - from time to time the role will require the on site assembly of units delivered in a modular formats, requiring mechanical, electrical and refrigeration knowledge
• Work and liaise closely with customers
• Submit paperwork in a prompt and efficient manner
• Report day to day activity to the Service Team Leader to ensure availability and productivity
• Liaison with other Service Support Engineers to ensure works are completed on time
• Submit site reports within prescribed timeframe
• Submit expenses paperwork and timesheets within prescribed timeframe
• Act in a professional manner towards customers to promote company image at all times
• Follow health and safety policies and procedures at Airedale and at customer sites
• Maintain an excellent attendance record
• Able to work outside of normal office hours on a regular basis including weekends

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of product reliability or service experience required
• A two-year technical degree in HVAC or related discipline preferred (Substantial technical experience may substitute for a degree)
• EPA Type II Certification required (Universal EPA preferred)
• Applicable HVAC license preferred
• Strong electrical experience with the ability to read detailed electrical schematics to diagnose faults accurately
• A/C Refrigeration knowledge - be able to measure and understand superheats/sub-cooling/pressures and temperatures
• Experience with different refrigerants would be an advantage - R410A, R134a, R32, R1234ze
• Practical Skills - Mechanical Assembly/ Brazing Experience
• Good communication and report writing skills
• Computer literate PC knowledge - general skills in Microsoft office
• Excellent customer service/facing skills
• Problem solving skills

• Controls navigation knowledge - Carel
