As a Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician II (DIAT) at Microsoft, you will play a crucial role in managing inventory and asset logistics within the data center environment. This position involves performing cycle audits, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring compliance with security and data management policies.   • Perform cycle audits and execute incoming/outgoing deliveries.
  • Coordinate security escorts for third-party vendors.
  • Document inbound and outbound deliveries.
  • Comply with security and data management policies and escalate any incidents.
  • Engage in Task Hazard Analysis (THA) for every task performed.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and execute incoming/outgoing deliveries, including purchase order receiving and Rack Movement Supervisor activities.
  • Document inbound/outbound packages and ensure accurate tracking and staging of inventory.
  • Maintain focus on customer service and complete Inventory and Asset Management tasks accurately.
  • Steward up-to-date and accurate information within inventory management systems.
  • Perform inventory cycle audits and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Engage suppliers to initiate warranty claims and process orders.
  • Perform destruction of data bearing devices following Microsoft policies and SLAs.
  • Notify management about stock shortages and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Follow procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of delivery.
  • High School Diploma AND 1+ year(s) experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, inventory management, or related field.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including non-standard business hours, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements.
  • 2+ year(s) experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment or logistics.
  • Experience operating heavy-load movement equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
