About the position

As a Microsoft Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician Manager (DIAM), you will lead a team responsible for managing inventory and asset logistics, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and overseeing warranty processes and data destruction. This role is crucial in supporting Microsoft's cloud services infrastructure and involves collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Train team members on safety standards and compliance with heavy-lifting equipment requirements.
  • Support planning and management of end-to-end project plans, assessing resource and workflow patterns.
  • Lead a team executing incoming/outgoing deliveries and document inbound/outbound packages.
  • Manage day-to-day operations for inbound and outbound processes.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Empower junior employees to process Return Merchandise Authorization warranties and handle escalations.
  • Ensure destruction of data-bearing devices, coordinating with third-party vendors.
  • Present briefings on procurement models and collaborate with procurement teams.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma AND 3 years experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, logistics, or inventory management.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including non-standard hours such as evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check and verify citizenship.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment or logistics.
  • 1+ year project management experience.
  • Certification in APICS/ASCM, IAITAM, or equivalent.
