About the position

The Data Center Inventory & Aet Technician Manager (DIAM) is responsible for leading a team focused on inventory and asset management within a data center environment. This role involves overseeing inbound and outbound logistics, conducting inventory cycle audits, and ensuring compliance with data center regulations. The DIAM will also manage warranty processes and the destruction of data-bearing devices, while fostering a culture of leadership and efficiency among team members. The position plays a critical role in supporting the infrastructure for various online services and emphasizes personal and professional development for employees.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Inventory & Aet Management technicians responsible for inbound/outbound logistics tasks.
  • Conduct inventory cycle audits and ensure compliance with data center regulations.
  • Guide employees in warranty processes and the destruction of data-bearing devices.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to manage and resolve issues.
  • Support the planning and management of end-to-end project plans, assessing resources and workflow patterns.
  • Empower junior employees to process Return Merchandise Authorization warranties and handle escalations effectively.
  • Present briefings on current and projected procurement models and collaborate with procurement teams to draft purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve efficiency, cost, and simplicity of workflows.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma AND 3 years of experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, logistics, inventory management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including non-standard business hours such as evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to pass a Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, logistics, or operating heavy-load movement equipment for a large corporation.
  • 1+ year of project management experience.
  • Certification in APICS/ASCM, IAITAM, Inventory Control, or equivalent.
