About the position

As a Data Center Inventory & Aet Technician Manager (DIAM), you will lead a dedicated team responsible for managing inventory and asset management tasks within a data center environment. This role involves overseeing inbound and outbound logistics, conducting inventory cycle audits, and ensuring compliance with data center regulations. You will guide your team in executing warranty processes and the destruction of data-bearing devices (DBDs). This position is crucial in modeling leadership principles and driving a focus on the accurate and efficient completion of Inventory and Asset Management (IAM) tasks. You will collaborate with stakeholders to manage escalations as they arise, ensuring that operations run smoothly and effectively. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and model compliance for less experienced team members.
  • Drive consistency in processes and services to align with defined policies and procedures to meet expectations for accuracy and timeliness of delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to influence workflows toward a more simplified and/or automated approach by evolving processes, services, and solutions to increase efficiency and manage costs.
  • Lead a team of technicians responsible for providing support and guidance to third-party personnel, including material movement, inventory management/tracking, inventory tagging, and regulatory compliance audits.
  • Ensure that all issues are documented, tracked, discussed, and resolved with internal and external stakeholders as well as suppliers with consistent and complete communication.
  • Drive focus on accurately and efficiently completing Inventory and Asset Management (IAM) tasks through a team of up to 12.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to manage issues as they arise.
  • Lead a team of technicians responsible for preparing and executing incoming/outgoing deliveries and documenting inbound/outbound packages.
  • Responsible for overall day-to-day operations and ensure inbound and outbound measuring processes are running smoothly and effectively.
  • Support the planning, management, and communication of end-to-end project plans with applicable stakeholders and team members.
  • Assess resource and workflow patterns to determine any needed changes in work alignment to ensure timelines are met and work is completed accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma AND 3+ years of experience in warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Ability to meet customer and/or government security screening requirements, including passing a Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse/supply chain in an IT environment, IT, and/or logistics, operating heavy-load movement equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, chain lift) for a large corporation (preferred).
  • 1+ year of project management experience (preferred).
  • Certification in APICS/ASCM, IAITAM, Inventory Control, or equivalent (preferred).
