About the position
The Data Center Project Technician will assist in inventorying and organizing equipment for a rack/stack project at a data center. This role involves working on-site to break down pallets of equipment, perform power-on tests, and sort devices according to specified building groups. The position is expected to last approximately six weeks, with a focus on data center operations and Cisco equipment.
Responsibilities
- Pick devices from the delivery according to the Pick list
- Unbox each device and perform a Power On Test to check for DOA
- Create a site consignment pallet according to the Pick list
- Inventory all equipment prior to sorting into groups by building
Requirements
- Experience working in data center environments
- Experience with Cisco equipment including switches and APs
- Possession of a Win10/11 laptop
- Standard tech tool kit
- Cisco console cables
- Bar code scanner
