About the position

As a Data Center IT Technician at OVHcloud, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of hardware in the Data Center, deploying and maintaining servers in a fast-paced environment. This role involves providing support, maintenance, upgrades, and optimization of infrastructure while ensuring quality and sustainability. The position requires working the night shift from 11:00 PM to 9:00 AM, with responsibilities that include installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of servers.

Responsibilities

• Install and remove servers from racks to deliver them to customers efficiently, ensuring quality and adherence to protocols.
• Test equipment, troubleshoot, and conduct preventive server maintenance and corrective actions.
• Participate in emergency troubleshooting of data center infrastructure and escalate issues as necessary.
• Perform overhauls and maintenance for non-rented servers.
• Install and prepare material as requested, deploying new equipment following documentation.
• Monitor equipment dashboards and status indicators.
• Ensure adherence to service levels defined for installation, repair/maintenance, or customization of servers.
• Assess the severity of faults and make necessary incident reports.
• Receive and track materials sent by the head office and/or subcontractors, suppliers.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of hardware components of dedicated servers.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Data Center environment (network, electrical, air-flow, air filtration, cooling).
• Technical degree in information technology preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to perform tasks with minimum supervision.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Easily approachable and reacts calmly under stressful situations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work any shift in a 24X7 operation, including weekends and holidays.
