About the position

The Data Center Network Technician role involves performing server maintenance and acting as remote support in data centers for a large software company. The technician will be responsible for tasks such as unracking and racking servers, wiring ethernet and power cables, reseating server components, replacing drives, troubleshooting fiber connections, and diagnosing simple hardware issues. The position requires physical capability to lift heavy equipment and a willingness to learn and work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform server maintenance including unracking and racking servers.
• Wire ethernet and power cables as needed.
• Reseat server components and replace drives.
• Troubleshoot fiber connections and diagnose simple hardware issues.
• Work independently and as part of a team in a data center environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in computer networking preferred (1 year).
• Experience in LAN preferred (1 year).
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and move equipment for extended periods.
