As a Data Center Operations Technician Level 1, you will be entering an entry-level position that requires 1-2 years of experience. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior technicians to gain hands-on experience and knowledge essential for maintaining critical systems. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure 100% uptime of critical systems, which is vital for the operation of data centers. You will also train to become a First Responder to critical infrastructure alarms, ensuring that you are prepared to act swiftly in emergencies. Your day-to-day tasks will include the accurate and timely completion of work orders, handling various tools and equipment with precision, and adhering to safety policies and procedures. You will work alongside vendors and contractors to ensure that their work meets industry standards, assist in inspecting buildings and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, and perform assigned collateral duties as directed by management. Additionally, you will learn and perform preventative maintenance tasks on critical equipment and work with experienced technicians to carry out corrective maintenance as needed.
