About the position

As an ePlus Data Center Post Sales Engineer (Architect Level), you will play a crucial role in implementing and operating enterprise infrastructure for our clients. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with master architects, engineers, and consultants to understand client needs and develop sustainable IT roadmaps. You will be responsible for delivering multi-vendor Data Center solutions, providing assessments, designing deployment strategies, and implementing services in a Data Center environment. Your expertise will be essential in assessing customer environments and making informed recommendations to enhance their infrastructure. In this role, you will serve as a post-sales resource for engineering, assisting with pre-sales tasks and acting as an escalation point for ePlus Engineers and Consultants. You will also be responsible for maintaining current knowledge of products and technologies by meeting with key vendors and completing advanced manufacturer-specific certifications related to Data Center technologies. Additionally, you will work closely with the Lead Technical Architect and National Engineering Leads to develop standardized assessment, delivery, and testing documentation to ensure the delivery of repeatable services. Responsibilities

  • Implement solutions for multi-vendor Data Center Solutions.
  • Provide assessments, design deployment, and implementation services of multi-vendor solutions in a Data Center environment.
  • Assess customer environments and make recommendations.
  • Serve as a post-sales resource for engineering.
  • Assist with pre-sales tasks.
  • Act as an escalation point for ePlus Engineers and Consultants.
  • Escalate issues to other team members as needed.
  • Meet with key vendors to stay current on products and technologies.
  • Maintain multiple advanced manufacturer specific advanced certifications related to Data Center technologies.
  • Complete additional relevant certifications as recommended or assigned by supervisor.
  • Work with Lead Technical Architect and National Engineering Leads to develop standardized assessment, delivery, and testing documentation.

Requirements

  • Must be fully knowledgeable and able to design and plan, implement and support IT solutions using four or more of the following technologies: VMware Virtualization, Storage Area Networks (SAN) from vendors such as NetApp, PURE, Nutanix, Cisco UCS Blade Server Technology, Cisco FlexPod, Fiber Channel, Fabric Interconnect.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in IT.
  • 4+ years of experience in a Sr. Engineer or Consultant role.
  • 4-year College degree preferred.
