About the position

As a Data Center Project Manager in Business Operations at Microsoft, you will play a crucial role in supporting the field operations leadership team to implement strategic initiatives at the campus level. This position involves overseeing financial planning, managing project schedules, and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders. You will be part of a team that delivers core infrastructure for Microsoft's cloud services, contributing to the operational excellence of a global network of datacenters.

Responsibilities

• Provide program governance, leadership, and direction for all projects at the campus level.
• Support the DC Project Managers with project estimation, budget management, and ROI calculations.
• Maintain and report project status, monitor progress, and act as an escalation point for issues.
• Support the Campus Director with employee communications and local campus events.
• Liaise with the Data Center Operational Efficiencies team for financial planning and performance reviews.
• Operationalize strategic initiatives consistently at the campus level.
• Identify and manage scheduling conflicts with stakeholders across various teams.
• Ensure service quality and customer experience in alignment with management priorities.

Requirements

• High School Qualification or equivalent AND 2+ years experience in IT equipment support or related technology.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's or Technical College Degree in a related field AND 5+ years experience in Critical Environment infrastructures.
• 2+ Years' experience in a 24x7x365 production environment.
• Applicable certifications such as APICS, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, PMP, ITIL, CDCP.
